It is not just slapping that contributes to happy slapping. All those attacks that hurt a person physically as well as mentally come under happy slapping. The worst part is that the attack is broadcasted to many others. It hurts the reputation of a person.
I know an incident of a college student who attacked his professor. Another person, probably his friend, filmed all that attack and started broadcasting to all the college students. Their main intention was to hurt the reputation of that strict professor and send him out of the college. But what happened was entirely reverse. The professor was admitted in the hospital and he received much pity from all those who saw the video. Thus the matter went to the cops who hadn’t much problem to identify the face in the video. The two persons are still in the jail and I am sure they are out of their career.
Though happy slapping is treated as an offense in many countries, people still risk themselves for such violent acts. So be careful with such beings.
