How safer is it to send your kids fly alone

After the recent incident of two kids getting placed in wrong flights, I hope many parents are now concerned about sending their children unaccompanied.

The Airlines, which was responsible for this, aid that it is just a miscommunication among their staff. How terrible it would be if the minor girls had to pay off for the incompetence of these airlines guys.

This is the peak season where we can see many unaccompanied minors flying off and on. And parents will require some tips for sending their children to fly all alone. These are from The U.S. Department of Transportation.
  • Airlines do not allow kids under 5 to fly alone. The age policies differ from each airline. So check before you buy the ticket.
  • Try to book for a non-stop flight or direct flights, to avoid children missing due to changing planes and missed connections.
  • Try to arrange a communication option like mobile for the child and be in contact regularly.
  • Be in contact with the person who is supposed to pick your child from the destination place.
